Description
Smart Buildings are becoming more intelligent, and its integrated, network-based architecture is designed to self-regulate the building’s environment and operations, including the lighting systems. When combined with the installation of LED luminaires, this combination has become the new standard for a variety of lighting system control options.
The key integrating component is Engineered Products Company’s prefabricated Illumination Control Fixture Whip in a 3/8-inch conduit configuration. This is the most suitable and bridging component in the market to manage lighting systems control inputs for LED luminaire’s low power amperage and voltage draw.
ATTRIBUTES
- Manufactured using 3/8-inch flexible metal conduit (FMC) for 120 or 277-volt lighting systems. Includes the purple and pink jacketed control conductors.
- An integral power and lighting control component for new or retrofit LED-based lighting systems.
- Use to control the lumen output of the luminaire controls for daylight harvesting, occupancy sensors, or light timing controls.
BENEFITS
- LED luminaires draw lower operating amperage and voltage to energize LED luminaires.
- Our 3/8” Illumination Control Fixture Whip use 18-gauge, 300-volt rated conductors designed to energize and provide illumination control of LED luminaires.
- Complies with NEC Article 300.3(C) to allow multiple conductors to occupy ⅜-inch flexible metal conduit.
- Lower price, more compact configuration, and immediate job site cost savings.
FEATURES
- Includes two (2) 90-inch jacketed 18 AWG NEMA standard illumination purple and pink lighting control conductors.
- Select from the following “external” connectors:
- Die-Cast Snap-In Connector w/Set Screw
- Phenolic Snap-in Connector
- Die-Cast Type Connector w/Set Screw and Lock Nut
- Custom color configurations available.
Example: EPCO’s Illumination Control Fixture Whip can be used with Daylight Harvesting Systems that offset the amount of lighting needed to properly light a space and reduce energy consumption.
